First thank you for coming on to do this AMA with us, I’m quite excited to finally have you here to dive deeper into the SERGS and SSL projects! I’m not sure if you are aware but @dcrypt256 has basically become a regular in the Trading Benjamins TG and is always keeping us updated and we are super grateful to have him in our group on a day to day basis.Side note, for anyone who doesn’t know Dcrypt is basically the lead admin for SERGs and SSL and takes care of all your problems and questions in those TGs. He’s out there grinding doing a thankless job every day for the betterment of the two projects and I personally think he’s doing an amazing job!

Sure thing! So people out here who does not know me, I’m crazyfrog the creator behind ssl(which started as a meme coin) and sergs. I’m from singapore and this is my first defi project. My background and day career is cybersecurity. Work from home during this covid lockdown made me involve into blockchain space. Have learnt alot for the past 1 year, a great space for any individuals to create value for his skills.
I don’t have much experience in DeFi, I’m 27 and 3 years old in my own career. Wasn’t comfy enough to deal everything one man since it involves finance and funds. So I had to engage an ex developer from Zilliqa team to assist me with all the dApp developments. Been learning alot from him and it’s been great so far.

Yeah mate! So when I first airdropped ssl token, honestly I had 0 plans. I did that during the defi hype. It was the day when $few was a drama in crypto space, just took advantage of that timing and formed a small group with a meme name called ssl, airdropped it and liquidity for 1 eth was added. No idea what made this token had so much demand or rise in value. Bcoz it was just a TG group and token that existed that day. Literally nothing.
There was a huge demand, a community with 1k members was formed on the very first day. I felt this is a great chance for me to come up with an ecosystem and build something value-able around ssl ecosystem. Messaged Colin, co-ceo of Zilliqa via twitter. It was a bit of luck that I had the response in couple of hours from him. Since we are all in the same country, it was easier for us to meet in person and discuss the idea over. Also Han Wen, SVP of team Zilliqa joined us too. That’s where all this NFT idea was born. We came up with a 2-token model system and introduced SERGS as the gateway token to mint NFTs.
To be very honest, I’m staying anonymous only to protect myself and have own privacy. It’s not hard for me to reveal myself, as much I would like to. But this space is kind of wild, you never know how things will turn. That’s why I chose to reveal myself only to legit teams or individuals who can keep my identity protected in any cause. I do not want to get myself meme’ed or trolled bcos of market or price action, which is totally out of my control. I have a personal career and I do not want that to be effected in anyway.

Ok, lets go over how SSL even came about and the amazing journey it has been on from $3 airdrop meme coin to $1800, to now becoming a relatively stable coin with an actual function today. What drove you to make SSL and what function does it serve in the ecosystem now?

I’m a huge fanboy of chainlink. I entered crypto only because of LINK and how it’s an internet of blockchain.
That was my only investment and SSL was airdropped when it had the momentum back that day bouncing. Did it all for the fun just to convey the message Sergey saved link… that’s about it.
It was community that requested for a website and pushed me to come up with an utility. But you all know that we struggled with liquidity issue and the supply for SSL is totally ridiculous. I wouldn’t have gone for 2-token model if we had a proper tokenomics and good liquidity. One token would have done all the job. But yeah situation made us to split the utility. SSL mainly act as a governance token and a multiplier for NFT farming.
We introduced sergs,came up with a proper tokenomics and conducted a presale, which really went well. Now in order for ssl ecosystem to succeed, sergs will play the key role to drive it forward

The NFT dApp is a simple idea and quite straight forward. Yield farming was a buzz in defi for last few months and then NFT started taking over the trend.
So we have 3 NFT pools called YOU, JUST and WIN. SERGS have to be staked across this 3 pools, let the users farm the non-tradeable tokens. It’s meant only for farming, burning in combos and mint 3 different type of NFTs which is normal, rare and limited edition. Users can choose to sell this in marketplace like opensea. Something similar to $MEME project.
So what we are doing now for NFT is digital artworks. We are starting off with crypto influencers arts. Many assume NFT=digital collectibles and arts, but it’s just 0.1% of NFT’s potential. Which the blockchain space have adopted.
Many did asked me, where does the value come for those art. It’s a tricky question and honestly I have no answer for it. I’m not an art kind of guy. I can only say if it looks good or bad. But recently been seeing few artworks sold in 6 digit figures, I have no idea how that’s possible. I even used to stare at those arts for more than 5 mins, I just can’t find where the value is coming from.
But yeah, there are people who loves art and who loves to collect their favourite artist. Just like how in traditional world ppl spend millions over an art-piece. Something I can’t really figure till date about valuing an art.

Anyways NFT potential is huge and lots more can be build, different ideas can be created. Literally u can digitise any real world assets and create a platform for buyer and seller, one to one trade without any middlemen.

Yeah, like I said earlier we will be starting with crypto influencers. Some of the top folks in the space like Sergey, vitalik, Andre, Hayden, cz.
Today I also managed to get in touch with a young artist. He seems to have the necessary skills and I do like his work. So going forward, he will help us running this ecosystem.
Basically we have created an infra for talented folks to come forward, use it to develop their skills, create a value for it. We can use the community funds to get them going.
I just want more ppl with different skillsets and ppl from different part of the world to come together and get the ecosystem running.

thanks mate! Regarding the Super rare NFTs, if that ever happens and become a reality, it will be massive for this project. @VarunRavi23 is the guy behind this. He’s getting in contact from his field to discuss the idea over. Basically the ppl have no idea what is blockchain or NFT, it has to be explained to them, lots of parties involved. And I think you already know what is that about, if am not wrong.
But yeah, just like everyone I wish that it could happen. Lots of ppl will start recognising this project. For now, I would advise everyone not to speculate on that too much. If I see a progress on it, I will definitely start talking more about it. It involves copyrights and stuff, so it’s a process to get that settled. Something that isn’t straight forward or a easy negotiation to get it agreed between the parties.
Yeah, once the NFT dApp is out, I will start focusing on this along with @VarunRavi23 … we will try our best to make it happen

I’ve talked to you and the team privately in the past and some of you have massive plans for the future of NFTs. It’s been described to me as “only 0.1% of the NFT market is tapped into right now.” You even said it again above. Where do you see the NFT market expanding to in the future and do you have any plans for SERGs to capitalize on this vision?

Actually to me personally, NFT will gain more traction and it’s more powerful when real world use case is digitised into blockchain space.
I can give u an example. For now, I have not seen a single project that’s focusing on e-commerce platform. Take amazon as an instance. It’s a platform between buyer and seller, but there are lots of middlemen involved who takes slice of the fees. Any reseller will get his product form a distributor. So whenever a seller is selling his product, he will always fit in the extra cost. And buyer is actually paying extra as well.
If there’s a NFT platform for buyers and sellers to list their items directly, it’s going to be one to one trade. No extra fees, no tax, no middlemen negotiations. It’s going to be between two of them. you get what you pay for and seller gets the whole value for his product. Both of them benefits.
Sergs will always be a placeholder for me. If there’s any new project I build or anything I could collaborate with real world, I will always find a way to tap to sergs, giving it extra utility. There’s many more examples. It has to be planned and executed properly.
For now, our project is not backed by any big boys or VCs. It’s purely owned by the community. We could collaborate with different community projects, providing more utility for both the projects and grow along. And if there’s anyone who could really link me up for integrations and stuff, I will be happy to discuss and get the ecosystem stronger and better

I messaged Roy, he’s the founder of YFL. And we had a call. Explained to him what’s this whole project is about and also mentioned since this link themed, I would like to get this listed on linkswap.
He liked the idea and also linkswap V2 is aiming to run their DEX on harmony, which helps in scalability and reduce the fee cost. I feel sooner or later, when the fee is crazy , ppl are going to trade in linkswap to save the cost.
And it’s also good to have SERGS in 2 different DEX. arbitragers will be active and eventually keeping the trades going.

Nono am not busy lol, just not a TG kind of guy. Whenever I come here it will always be about when moon and when next news. So I drop by to give updates related to the project.
My only advise to everyone out here will be, this is crypto…invest wisely, always have risk management habit and secure your capital whenever possible. So that you don’t end up going mad over the team or developers when price action doesn’t favour an individual. We build things, we deliver it. But the market Is a volatile space. No matter how strong a project , there will always be ups and downs.
Tomorrow we may release a promo clip with set of NFTs revealed, hope ppl will like it. It’s madhav’s work and I’m yet to see it myself.
